what i liked about this slow moving movie
was that it was a relaxing watch
with cute little quirks
with more focus on the chemistry between the characters
and it added in its little moral too
with Murphy’s law to boot

the graphics were so captivating

i came outta the movie feeling raw

yet leaves you craving for more

however, i for once
did not enjoy the book
the flow was interesting
yet i felt it too messy
all over the place
too many details
so yeah, nope, thanks

when i first picked it up
it was nothing special
havent even heard of the author before
cover was simple too
the reviews say its for hopeless romantics

but my gosh,
i couldnt put it down
read from cover to cover

tells of two individuals
from two different social worlds
how they find solace in each other
how they soon fall in love
and hey, its not happily ever after!
the story tells of the journey after that too

so yes, it is a great read
simple easy relaxing read
plot is so relatable
reminds us of what it feels like to fall in love
and reminds us what’s worth fighting for
gives us hope in the love of olden days

to be reminded what its like to fall in love
go grab this book!

i had my doubts about this movie

these were my pre-conceptions about the show:

it was going to be just an action film without much storyline
a repetition of the terminator plot that would sound so old already
it would not live up to the great Terminator legacy

these are my closing views after the show:

AWESOME!!!
it totally lived up to the legacy and added more charm to it too
brought in the new technology without ruining much of its original technology
linked it back to the old shows by featuring Arnold =)
loved the concept of humanity existing within the advanced robots

a must watch for all terminator buffs!
and a jumping start for those who havent watched terminator legacy before =)

i honestly havent watched much of the Hannah Montana series
but the one or two that i have watched were entertaining =)

so when i watched this debut movie
i watched it without expectations
and i give it a not bad =)

its one of those
lighthearted easy relaxing movies
that you can enjoy for that time being
but will soon forget

this tells of Miley Cyrus
being too caught up in the world of Hannah Montana
and is brought back down to earth in her hometown
learning about sacrifices and what truly matters most.

but all in all
Hannah Montana rocks!

a superb great brilliant plot from Sarah Waters!

this one has three parts,
as the same with the rest of her stories

this one tells of an oyster girl
and her journey of discovery
of herself, love and hardships

first part tells of
her story with the stage impersonator
a girl who acts like a guy on stage
how they whisk off to London
and soon stage shows together

the second part tells of
her seedy works
and the deal she made with her newfound “mistress”

the third part tells of
her working a a “maid”
for an old friend
and how she discovers so much more about her own life

i hope i didnt give out too much info
to spoil the twists and turns
but indeed
it is a story not to be missed

however, be warned
this story contains very vivid sexuality themes & scenes
but otherwise, superb plot
especially in terms of human relationships with one another

Kris VS Adam

who did i support?
Kris! =)

Why i think Kris should have won:

he has versatility (can suit any genre)
he has an amazing voice! (gives me good goosebumps!)
he looks absolutely adorable and cute!
he was so humble and meek throughout the show

Why i think Adam should have won:

he has great showmanship! (no doubt about it)
he looks stunning!
he has a great strong voice
he was the whole artist package!

so, why i pick Kris over Adam?:

even though Adam had great showmanship, i daresay Kris connected to the audience better, he was more down to earth and relatable, unlike Adam who felt more like a put-on show.
even though Adam is a great singer, he got boring after awhile cause his style was more towards rock and screaming. Kris could take songs apart and strip them to its core emotions.
Adam was quite cocky during several times in the show, but Kris was humble and accepting throughout the whole thing! =)

so yea, I love the fact that Kris won! =)

i think the greatest part
was that they were so supportive of each other
though it was a competition.

I’d be upfront and say
that I’m not one for religion –based shows
i usually find myself bored or turned away
as sometimes the religious shows can be overbearing
but this show managed to capture my attention throughout
and i actually enjoyed the Christian message behind it

it tells of a married couple,
a fireman and his wife
who fights so often
that it has led to talks of divorce
so,in efforts to save his marriage
he takes up his father’s 40-day “love dare”
which requires him to go the extra mile for his wife
doing little sweet gestures everyday
while trying to maintain his composure
especially despite his wife’s ignorance of it all

along the way, he finds the true meaning of marriage
one that sustains all odds if lifted up to God

despite its Christian meaning
and despite it revolving around a married couple
this show is for all
Christian or not
married or not

as it reminds us that
its the littlest most insignificant things in life
that makes the biggest most significant changes

He’s Just Not That Into You

This show is SO meant for my current situation
every word spoken was a stab to my heart
cause it was SO true & i felt the same way!

this show is similar to Jane Austen Book Club movie
in terms of the way the story is told
tells of the lives and stories of different individuals
and how they are all connected in one way or another

there’s Gigi,
a girl misinterpreting every signal from guys
and how she meets a bartender, Alex
who gives her advice on how to interpret correctly,
whom she met after a date with his friend, Conor
who is hung up over his singer “girlfriend”, Anna
who’s poking fire to a married guy, Ben
whose wife, , is trying to make ends meet,
whose best friend, is trying to get married
but her boyfriend, (Ben’s friend) doesn't believe in marriage,
and of Mary, Anna’s friend who looks for love in cyberspace

yes, its quite a stereotypical show
as gays are effeminate and all about sex
and girls mull over how their dates went
and how guys are commitment-phobic

and yes, its got quite a predictable plot too

but the great thing about this show,
is not the end-product
but the journey
and how each individual deal with their own issues
and how they come out better than ever

bottom line:
i want to be an exception, and not just a rule.

My Best Friend's Girl

what starts off as a disgusting comedy
which can make you laugh and gag at the same time
slowly evolves into drama
which will tug at your heart
leaving you with tears

its basically about
this guy, tank who earns a living
by taking ex-girlfriends out
on the worst dates of their lives
an experience so horrible
they'd run back to their ex-boyfriends
(who hires Tank to do just that)
trouble ensues when his best friend hires him
the girl is no easy match for Tank's tricks

reviews were bad about the show
but i loved it
maybe cause i could relate to it
in more ways than one =P

bottom line is:
i want an a**hole like that
no matter how disgustingly crude he can get

the story was very fast-paced
so much plot,within so little screen time

the flow was so good
that you didn't realize how time passed

tells of a teacher
who volunteers to teach a troubled class
and his out of the ordinary ways of teaching
a story guaranteed to tug your heart strings
make you laugh, cry and scream in frustration

who inspire me to be a teacher

An exceptional story.

two words: Don't Bother.

a supposed comedy.
yet throughout the whole show,
I didn't even laugh once.

a spoof on the Ten Commandments,
a total utter failure,
great casts, with the likes of Jessica Alba et al.,
but even that couldn't salvage the show.

features ten short absurd stories,
that pokes fun at everything,
from Jesus, to gays, to ventriloquist puppets.

remember the two words: Don't Bother.

The Mist

The latest show I've watched was The Mist

Quite a great show.

The show revolves around the after-effect of a terrible storm.
People head onto the supermarket to stock up.
Its not long before a thick mist clouds over.
That's when the show truly begins.

A man runs in with a bloody nose,
screaming for them to close the door,
saying there was something in the mist that caught his friend.

The story soon unravels the mystery beings in the storm,
and how the need for survival speaks out loud and clear.

the poignant point of this story,
the part which struck me the most,
was the need for survival.

how you throw a bunch of panicked distressed people,
and all hell breaks loose,
you can see how easily people conform,
what lengths they are willing to go,
just to survive.

what saved the quite draggy storyline,
was the ending,
a complete and utter twist. =)

I would recommend this show.

Juno

This show is a quirky sort =)

The songs are funny,
in a weird way,
its melodies are very sing-song.

Anyway,
show tells of a teenage girl,
who finds out she's pregnant,
she decides to keep the baby,
BUT, only to give it to a couple who would want it.

It tells of how she copes with her pregnancy,
how she deals with the adopting couple,
how she learns to face her inner struggles,
how she learns of responsibility & selflessness.

Main attraction: A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E.

Juno's has a very nonchalant way about things,
her use of language is very "old-school",
her "couldn't care less" view about things,
her grudging yet easy-going personality,
her exaggerated ways.

Bottom line:
This show had me laughing & crying.
This is definitely my type of show. =)

I So want this as my wedding song =)

I love this song, because it touches my heart.

It is sang from the father's point of view.
tells of his daughter,
how she's heaven sent,
how she grows up,
how they pray together,
her first pony ride,
her first attempt at baking,
her sweet sixteen-she's growing up,
from ribbons & curls to perfumes & make-ups,
how she looks more like her mom each passing day,
all the way to her wedding day.

she'd change her name,
he'd have to give her away,
when she asks him what's on his mind,
he says he can't help but think,
that he's losing his baby girl.

the dad says that,
"if I had done wrong,
I must've done something right,
to deserve..."

a hug every morning.
her love every morning.
butterfly kisses at night.

It just tugs my heart strings, you know?
To have a dad say such things about you,
and to think he thinks so greatly about you.

Sigh..*wipes a tear away*
